Learn To Surf Cornwall

What next?
Last year i learnt to surf in newquay, cornwall. I learnt on a 7ft foamy. I found surfing quite easy and i can easily catch waves pop up to my feet and stay there, i can turn either way and i am good at paddling. basically i dont really know what to do next, ive been told that once im comfortable on a foamy i should use a different board so i can get better and do different things. i dont really know what to do next, should i move onto a different type of board? what do i need to learn how to do next? will any different types of boards be different to surf on? also i am 5 foot 8 and 11 stone if this helps. any advice would be welcome
Well, you can change to a shorterboard, which is definitely more challenging (I would suggest a 6″3 or so), if you are looking for a challenge.
Another thing that would be good, is to change your scenery a bit. Try surfing in other areas . . . places with bigger, more charging waves.
Also, you can try going out farther . . . but not too far . . . because you don’t want to get sucked out! Remember to always surf with someone
Surf in seasons when the waves are known to be larger. I don’t know quite when that would be for you, because I do not live in England.
